ALL STATE COMPETITORS PLEASE READ:

State Competition - December 9 and 10

Coaches please read the following carefully:

  1. Teams must check in prior to the first team competing in your team's division. The registration table will notify us which teams have not signed in during registration time.
  2. Sign in on the side of the arena where you will be warming-up. (See notes below on designated sides.)
  3. Do not walk teams across the arena floor at any time. You must walk across the top of the concourse.
  4. Once you are seated please notify the Floor Managers of your location. (Alissa Stone or Jimbo Davis)
  5. Teams must be seated in the last three sections. If you are seated any place other then the last three sections, we will not try to locate you to notify you of your warm-up time. (NOTE: The arena will have a larger number of spectators due to the fact we are not closing after each session. Please leave the front seats for the spectators. Remind parents that we do not reserve seats.)
  6. Do not sit in the aisles around the arena. The Fire Marshall can shut us down at any time and we must obey fire code safety rules. Please warn parents and teams.
  7. Remind parents that they may not enter and leave. They will have to pay again to come in a second time.
  8. Remind parents that we run ahead of schedule. We suggest they arrive by the time the competition session you are participating in begins.
  9. Please make sure you have two tapes or CD's. Have them with you when you come to the floor.
  10. Remember to stretch and warm-up prior to coming to the first area. In area one you will need to jump and stretch (this is under the concourse). In area two you can stunt and tumble (this is on the floor of the arena). Then you will move to the curtain and wait to be called to the floor. Please talk to your team about remaining as quite as possible while behind the drapes as they can be heard by television. It is vital that you plan your warm-up and use your time wisely.
  11. Remember no one can come on the floor without a GHSA pass. All coaches should return the pass as soon as they have completed competing. Those holding passes must be valid high school coaches. Only two coaches and one music person (The music person may not assist with warm-ups.) will be allowed to enter the floor. Chairs are provided for coaches to be seated in during competition.
  12. Lay/Community Coaches must be on the official GHSA list. The floor directors will have the copy of these list. Alissa Stone must clear all Lay Coaches. No parents are allowed on the competition floor.
  13. ALL COACHES be prepared to show GHSA pass or identification if asked to do so by staff.
  14. All Coaches are requested to bring a list of the 16 competitors who will competing on the floor and would be receiving medals if they were to win. You will be ask to turn this in on the floor as the Top Four are called.
  15. We ask that everyone remember that the back registration gate is for team members and coaches. It is not for Junior Varsity teams or parents. They must all enter at the front gate. Alternates should not exceed one stunt group.
